...are discussed a lot in the opening of the Council chapter.  I'm afraid my protags got too easy a ride after all in this first draft round, because Kate got inspired and made sense on several levels faster than my sceptics could demolish it.  Perhaps I shall withstand her charisma better on the revision pass.  It's not like anybody's going to actually follow her advice in detail, because that is strictly for crazy people and aspiring corpses - but the eventual plan looks like being a lot more in her spirit than I was expecting.  H'mmm.
