Sep. 21st, 2010 09:47 pmFinished the Founder's a-demagogic speech, in which she is supposed in her blunt way to thunk straight into the target that Kate's romancing eloquence had first outlined in shimmer and stray shot. I'm not quite sure I've got the Founder's peculiar brand of audacity in the right key yet - on this first try, I think I still have too many shades of oratory haunting it.
It's surprisingly challenging to write a character who seldom says what she doesn't soberly mean.
