I spent some time recently, inspired by a Facebook-ish retelling of Pride and Prejudice creating a Filemaker solution that allows me to do just that - much to my surprise I found it a surprisingly good outline/synopsis tool.

Which platform are you on? I can't guarantee that it will _work_ (my Filemaker version is slightly elderly), but I'm happy to compile a standalone version so you can have a play.
